Bach twice and a baroque opera for dessert

In April Karol Kozłowski will be honoured to perform one of Bach’s most beautiful cantatas Trauerode BWV 198 under the baton of the legendary Joshua Rifkin who as a conductor and music theorist revived the idea of performing vocal works of Bach with only one voice per voice part. The concert will take place at Florianka Recital Hall in Kraków. The following concert will be held at Teatr Wielki National Opera in Warsaw few days later. During a very special evening commemorating one of the most eminent Polish actors Gustaw Holoubek, Karol Kozłowski will sing Bach’s cantata Jesu, der du meine Seele BWV 78. Władysław Kłosiewicz will conduct.

The end of April will bring the stage version of J. Ph. Rameau’s operatic masterpiece Les Indes galantes at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz. The young and energetic group of musicians from Il Giardino d’Amore with its leader Stefan Plewniak and Natalia Kozłowska directing seem to forecast a superb evening.
