From Poland and abroad

The end of the year brings us different ratings – we are happy to announce that many projects which Karol Kozłowski was involved in were mentioned in such lists: Polityka gives credits to I Baroque Opera Festival and Paweł Mykietyn’s ‘The Magic Mountain’ which has also been appreciated by Gazeta Wyborcza. Rzeczpospolita adds International Bach Festival in Świdnica to the most important music events in Poland in 2015, while ‘Winterreise’ has been named one of the most important music CD of the year by one of the most interesting Polish opera web portals (http://operaczyliboskiidiotyzm.blogspot.com/2015/12/2015-w-operze.html).

In the December issue of ‘Hi-Fi i Muzyka’ Karol Kozłowski gives interview to Hanna Milewska about his future plans, he also talked to Jacek Hawryluk for ‘Ruch Muzyczny’ which will be published in early 2016.

Franz Schubert’s ‘Winterreise’ which premiered in September has some great reviews. Dorota Szwarcman wrote in Polityka: ‘This is the second CD with Schubert of this duo [with Jolanta Pawlik – ed.] and if the first one was excellent, this one is even better’. Mariusz Herma in the December issue of Zwierciadlo said that Karol Kozłowski and ‘Jolanta Pawlik are a perfect duo. May they continue their common journey’. The new album was also recommended in ‘Płytomania’ in Polish Radio.

Meanwhile in Italian Radio Rai3 – Valentina Lo Surdo talked about our ‘Winterreise’ in ‘Primo movimento’. You can find it here: http://www.radio3.rai.it/dl/radio3/programmi/PublishingBlock-b67b9438-2f44-4351-9cca-a8360b5d1597.html (7.10.).

We cordially invite you also in January to the Wrocław Opera where Karol Kozłowski appears as Alfred in seven performances of J. Strauss’s ‘Die Fledermaus’ (‘The Bat’).
