Halka and The Haunted Manor on period instruments

Thanks to the Fryderyk Chopin Institute’s efforts the operatic masterpieces of Stanisław Moniuszko will be recorded and issued on CD. What makes it unprecedented is that both Halka and The Haunted Manor will be accompanied by orchestras of period instruments. Furthermore Halka (the whole opera) will be recorded in the Italian language version for the first time and also will be performed in the broadcasted concert on the 24th of August 2018 at 8 pm in the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw as a part of the 14th International Music Festival Chopin and his Europe 2018. The international soloists, the Choir of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic and the Europa Galante Orchestra will be conducted by Fabio Biondi. Karol Kozłowski will sing the solo tenor part in the third act of the opera.
